On The Streets - {The Scarf Story}

Hola Lovelies!:)

Hope you guys have been good! We are back! Our extreme apologies for being so irregular with the posts. Its been crazy here in Calcutta with the weather and practically everyone falling sick. However, we would not give any excuses and we promise to be much more regular with our blog posts as we love writing to you all very much!!

In this particular post we are going to talk about one of the major trend that is here to stay- The Street Style! It has become a huge runway show in itself. It is one phenomenon which is not going anywhere this season as we can see how everyone is loving the idea of keeping it casual and sticking to the basics. The Chic street look is not only effortless and super comfortable, it is also a class apart style statement these days!
When it comes to street style, the easiest way to enhance or add up to any of your basics is to accessorize it. One such piece of accessory that looks classy and casual at the same time is a Scarf ! Wearing a scarf is the best way to highlight any casual outfit in the most amazing way. It is not a typical winter accessory anymore as it used to be, we love to use it on an everyday basis just to add a little quirk to our basics. You can carry a scarf in a number of different ways be it a wrap around, a headgear, a shrug or simply just tie it around in your favorite handbag. We have used the scarves to add up to our basic street style look and shown different ways you can carry it. Have a Look ;)

So all you need to do is layer up with a nice printed scarf over a pair of denims or quirky joggers and basic tee to complete your street style look. We highly recommend Pairing up your basics with a scarf for effortless styling. If you don't own a nice printed one already then go ahead and shop for one ASAP! You can than us later ;)

ABOUT THE SCARF :

About the scarves we have used from Mr. Siddhant Beriwal himself:-

" Wax resist an old tradition on West Bengal, Batik, known for the cracked effect it produces has been provided with a little twist in our production house. We try and apply thick layers of wax in order to avoid the cracks and produce a set of floral and quirky designs.

The people behind the entire production from the process of applying wax initially to the dyeing of fabric in the end are a set of talented rural women who have been trained in the art. Our production houses comprises mainly of female who work in order to become independent and dream of providing their children with better lives by getting a little extra income.

The sole aim which we follow is to move Batik from the cracked look and provide a fresh new look by just producing cracks on certain areas of the design hence fabrication a riot of colors in quirky and kitsch motifs.

Mixing wax blocking along with hand painting of wax is yet another feature about our house. We try and blend two styles together in order to create designs which has a great finesse.
Majorly trying to make Batik readily available for all age groups from the accustomed style to creation in a distinct way".
